Dawat Restaurant Norbury

We had a wonderful experience at Dawat in Norbury today. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and care shown by Maryam made the visit truly special — her genuine hospitality and welcoming smile instantly made us feel at home. The food was outstanding. The chicken dish was perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully spiced. The naan was soft, fresh, and the ideal companion to the meal. To finish, the cookie and tea were the perfect ending — comforting, simple, and absolutely delightful. It’s not just the food that makes Dawat special, it’s the people behind it. Maryam’s kindness and attention to detail turned a great meal into a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Came here with friends and had and excellent experience as it was my first time. From the second you enter the restaurant you can smell the food being cooked and all the herbs and spices floating through the air. The staff were well mannered and polite!! We had a few different dishes and I enjoyed the lamb dishes which shocked me as I’m not a great fan of lamb, but I was very juicy!! I enjoyed the dessert fully!! It was like a smooth rice pudding with nuts sprinkled on top… it was delicious!!!! I’ll definitely be back again!!!

I bought my Greek friends here for dinner, they wanted ‘authentic Pakistani food’ somewhere when I eat regularly with my parents…so then you know it’s good, being Asian myself. The Kahrai was amazing and the chicken biriyani, you must try the kheer it is chefs kiss, there are so many great dishes to choose from here…also the mango lassi. Also the music wasn’t too loud so you could have a conversation and hear each other. Mariam attended to our every need, brilliant service from her.

We've been coming to Dawat in Norbury every month for a while now and honestly it's become our go to place. Maryam is brilliant. Always greets us with a smile, remembers our usual order and makes sure everything is spot on. Fatima and Waqar look after us really well too. The whole team make you feel welcome, not just polite service but genuinely warm. The food speaks for itself. Complimentary papadams to start, then the grill meats are properly done, charred and smoky like they should be. The karahi lamb is the star though. Rich, properly spiced and perfect with fresh naan straight from the tandoor. And you have to finish with the cookie dough. Trust me. Absolutely delicious. It's not fancy, just really good food with people who care. That's why we keep going back.

Excellent! The lamb shish kebabs or whatever they were called, were absolutely amazing. So tasty and flavoursome. The curry we had was great too. Reasonably priced too. We ate well!

Fantastic food and wonderful service! The food at Dawat in Norbury is always amazing full of flavour and freshly prepared. Every time we visit, we’re impressed by the quality and taste. A special mention goes to the waitress Maryam she’s always incredibly kind, polite, and helpful to me and my mum. She gives great recommendations and always makes us feel welcome. We truly enjoy coming here as a family and always leave happy and satisfied. Highly recommended
